Worm: We will identify all types of worm eggs present by count to get the correct result. 

 

Coccidiosis. We check for all types of parasites eggs present by count in order to get the correct result Positive is not a result. You must ID a count level.  

 

We have had a level to show positive 400eggs/gram and positive 140,000 eggs per/gram. 

 

Two positives two different treatments  

 

Trichomonas (Canker). Crop canker is responsible for only 10% of canker in birds. 90% of the canker is internal and to identify this organism takes us 9 days to identify a result.  

 

Here again we test the level of positivity and again the correct program must be put in place in reducing the level of canker.  

 

This is a general test, which if not correct can affect the pigeon’s performance dramatically. It is crucial to have the correct level of infection if infected.

Diagnostic Laboratory Reports All reports are signed off by our Head scientist, MVB PhD DipECVM, who is EBVS® European top Specialist in Veterinary Diagnostics. In the absence of the Head scientist, reports will be signed by the Deputy Head scientist, PhD Candidate, MSc. Signees have individually over 25 years of expert experience in the field of poultry clinical & diagnostic microbiology, avian gut flora analysis and probiotic formulation, water and environmental microbiology, mycology, parasitology; internal and ectoparasites, feed analysis and nutrition.
